Meet the zoom lift

Over the last year, the traditional workplace has evolved drastically. Many people have moved into their home office, meetings going from conference room to conference call and more and more people have found themselves perpetually planted in front of a camera, whether they like it or not. Due to this dramatic shift, there has been an increase in demand for a minimally-invasive procedure that addresses the neck, chin and jawline, areas that are more visible and harder to ignore when plastered across a screen. Thankfully, Amadi Aesthetics has a solution!

Sometimes referred to as “the Zoom lift,” MyEllevate is a new and innovative non-invasive cosmetic procedure that tightens and rejuvenates the jawline. MyEllevate can be done in under an hour under local anesthetic in your doctor’s office. With results that can last a lifetime, this “lunchtime procedure” will ensure that you have no bad angles.

What is MyEllevate?

This ground-breaking procedure is the first of its kind. Not chin or neck lift, nor thread lift, MyEllevate supports the bands and glands of the neck using a suture support system to resculpt and rejuvenate the neck and jaw, helping you rediscover the defined jawline you once had or knew was hiding there all along.

How is MyEllevate done?

This procedure is done by lacing the neck’s underlying muscles and glands together using a lighted suture rod called ICLED®. The rod is passed under the skin between 8 small puncture points at which the rod is pivoted, creating a support system of sutures. These small 1mm punctures are the only perforations made during the procedure–there are no incisions and therefore no external sutures required for recovery. The light on the suture rod is used as a guide as it is passed beneath the skin between these pivot points, to ensure that it remains at the optimal depth.

MyEllevate is a revolutionary procedure because unlike it’s popular cousins, face, neck and chin lifts, it requires no incisions, no removal of skin, and can be done in one hour under local anesthesia. It also has very little down-time with patients usually able to return to normal activity within one week. MyEllevate results are immediate and, in many patients, life-long.

Risks, complications & recovery:

MyEllevate is minimally-invasive, only requiring 8-1mm access points that do not necessitate stitches nor general anesthetic. It can be performed in your doctor’s office under local anesthesia in as little as one hour, which places it in the category of what is sometimes referred to as “lunchtime procedures.” The risk of complication with this procedure is very low–you may experience some minimal swelling and bruising post-treatment as well as some dimpling and tightening, all of which will subside in a few days. You may be required to wear a chinstrap for up to four days after your procedure, and most patients are able to return to regular activity in under a week.

How long does it last?

Unlike the similarly performed thread lift, which lasts only four-to-six months, MyEllevate uses a permanent nylon suture to create life-long results.

Can MyEllevate be combined with other procedures?

Absolutely! For patients requiring more extensive work or who are experiencing more advanced aging, MyEllevate can be combined with other procedures such as liposuction to achieve optimal results. MyEllevate is also often used in conjunction with fillers and skin resurfacing for an all-over rejuvenation.

MyEllevate vs Thread Lift–what’s the difference?

Though easily mistaken, MyEllevate should not be confused with a thread lift. The differences between the two, both marketed as non-surgical alternatives to traditional face-or-neck-lifts, are in process, longevity and materials used.

A thread lift is done similarly to MyEllevate, by inserting sutures beneath the skin through an access point using a suture rod. The suture is then tightened, pulling and lifting the skin tighter to help define the jaw. Thread lifts are done with a dissolvable barbed thread that is safely absorbed into the skin in four-to-six months. A thread lift focuses only on lifting and tightening the skin.

MyEllevate not only lifts the skin, but it also supports and lifts the muscles and glands beneath the skin. The suture used consists of permanent, braided, polyester thread. This suture is placed deeper and more precisely beneath the skin, directly over the muscle, allowing it to support the muscle and glands. This is made possible by the ICLED light guidance. This results in permanent redefinition of the jawline making longevity the most prominent difference between these two procedures.

Who is a candidate for MyEllevate?

MyEllevate offers an excellent alternative for patients who are new to cosmetic surgery or who don’t feel ready to undergo more extensive and invasive procedures such as a traditional facelift. The ideal candidate is someone in their 30’s or 40’s, who has minimal signs of aging and skin laxity and those with prominent glands under the neckline, either from age or genetics. In some patients, if performed early enough in the aging process, MyEllevate can eliminate the need for further operations later in life.

If you have found yourself mesmerized and distracted on conference calls by the skin under your chin that has begun to resemble a ski slope, MyEllevate could be for you! Call to schedule a consultation today.
