This 44-year-old woman was unhappy with her lower eyelid bags. On his examination, Dr. Amadi recognized that her lower lid fat prolapse was exacerbated by her loss of cheek volume due to aging related fat atrophy. She also had mild lower eyelid retraction which made her eyes less almond-shaped. She underwent bilateral lower eyelid lift (blepharoplasty) whereby Dr. Amadi did not remove the fat, but rather repositioned it in her tear trough hollow. In addition, she underwent fat grafting to her cheeks to give her additional volume, improving her eyelid-cheek smooth transition, thereby eliminating her tear trough deformity. At her 6 month photo, the patient is extremely happy with her result.
